Based in Australia, Chapman Stick player Andy Salvanos built a global audience as a street musician, with more than 30,000 album sales and a steadily growing listener base online. Swedish-born Salvanos has performed at events such as Adelaide Guitar Festival and the National Folk Festival, and worked as a bassist with Australia's leading indigenous songwriter Archie Roach on "The Tracker" soundtrack. Salvanos’ original music ranges from simple melodies to improvised soundscapes, and has been featured in a number of films, including French-produced documentary "The Chookman", and a Chinese fashion shoot by Models Inc. More recently, he has focused on collaborations with other artists from all corners of the world, including "Crawl Spaces" with Canadian pianist Jesse Brown, which received Spotify editorial placements. Salvanos is passionate about making music accessible to everyone, and continues to perform live most days of the week.
"Andy....Your music reminds me of the sound of the world. Thank you for giving us the world to listen to, because sometimes people don't take the time..." (John Francis Downey, Canada).
